Welcome to Radio Navigation Simulator V2.0.

This update includes some significant new features that improve the use of the simulator.

Please read the User Manual for full in depth details and use.

New Features:

  • Native support for iPhone 5
  • Two new navigation instruments are included:
    • HSI - Horizontal Situation Indicator
    • RMI - Dual Needle

  • Instrument case 45° rim markers now added to:
    • Directional Gyro
    • HSI
    • ADF
    • Dual Needle RMI

  • Five selectable Flight Panel configurations:
    • These comprise of the original RNS V1.0 panel, which is now designated 'Basic' Panel, and four new Flight Panels that have photorealistic presentations, these are designated 'PRO' Panels.

  • The MINI flight panels associated with the PRO main flight panels, are now MINI versions of the regular instrument. The BASIC flight panel retains the synthetic digitised instruments of RNS V1.0.


  • A Menu driven Management System, operating external to the simulator, which offers the following features:

    • Settings Options Menu which includes:
      • Whats New
      • Rate/Review
      • Twitter Follow
      • Online RNS Support site, tabbed for:
        • Latest News
        • FAQ's
        • Contact Us
        • Download Exercise Data

    • The User Manual

    • Flight Panel Options selection

    • Flight Environment and Exercise management

    • 'FLY' button direct from all menu pages.

This management structure is easily accessed from the simulator using an Exit/Menu Icon.

  • Where necessary some improvements have been made to the look and feel of the simulator, along with some minor bug fixes.
